43rd Annual Charity Golf Classic
Mark your calendars! The 43rd Annual CHAS Charity Golf Classic will take place on August 21, 2025 at Silver Springs Golf & Country Club.
This year, proceeds will support the Alberta Children’s Hospital’s Real-Time Diagnoses Project, also known as KidSONO, along with other community charities.
About KidSONO
The KidSONO program will improve the safety and quality of care provided at the Alberta Children’s Hospital (ACH) through education and leadership in point-of-care ultrasound.
With faster metabolisms, less blood and fluid reserves, and a higher sensitivity to changes in body temperature, children are more vulnerable than adults in a medical crisis. Time is of the essence when determining causes and treatments for a young person’s illness.
Specialists at the Alberta Children’s Hospital want to optimize point-of-care sonography — the use of ultrasound as a diagnostic tool at the bedside — to rapidly inform care. The state-of-the-art technology provides children and families with real-time diagnoses that increase accuracy and decrease the time it takes for treatments to begin.

By participating in this year’s CHAS Charity Golf Classic, you will make it possible to launch a new program called KidSONO and provide children with life-saving, radiation-free imaging at the bedside.
